The Gap Year with Saint Paul is an independent program in the Republic of Malta for male Catholic students newly graduated from high school, aimed at enriching a young man’s faith, cultivating his talents, refining his aspirations, and enlarging his spirit. The program will enable young men to grow their sense of God and self by growing their experience of life, in a place where the breath-taking force of the past meets the potential of the present. The idea for this program is based on the belief in young people as the future of the culture and the hope of the Church. In a structured setting of spiritual direction, fraternity, and opportunity that blends spiritual practice, physical labour, intellectual growth, and community service, the Gap Year with Saint Paul calls young men to be courageous and adventurous, to forge a fruitful and beautiful time that they can truly call their own—on an island and in the midst of an ancient people called by the apostle Saint Paul himself to the very same greatness.
